As a team captain, I am most proud of being able to manage and lead the team towards individual and collective improvement as well as creating and maintaining a family culture. One of the major financial achievements would definitely be getting 4 major sponsors for the team.

Fatima Faour: Sponsorships and partnerships in developing communities

This talk will teach you how to approach sponsors and (hopefully) get them on board to fund your next team's tournament.

Ahmed Barakat:  Winning, Losing, and Moving On: Keys to Preserving Mental Poise for Your Team

Hopefully you'll be able to better deal with the pressure of being expected to win and how you can use this pressure to your own benefit as a team.
Also, every team faces setbacks, so it's very important to learn how to lose and bounce back from it. Lastly, for most teams, being favorites is only relative to where you're playing, so we need to learn how to switch mentality and motivate your teams depending on the level you're competing with.

I began my Ultimate journey in September 2014, so witnessed the growth of the sport from 2-3 teams playing in friendly games, to the current Egyptian Ultimate scene with 9 teams and an established season structure held by an official governing body (EUPA). I've played with 3 different teams in Egypt, winning 12 out of 16 official EUPA tournaments since 2016. I've represented my teams in multiple regional tournaments (All Africa and MENA) as well as being player/captain of the Egyptian national team, participating in WUGC

2018: hosted 1st KNUCC. MARCH 2019: launched high school training programme. March 2020: hosted Frisbee clinic.

Anastancia Nanguri Sakwa:  High School Frisbee Coach

Suggest ideas to improve on coaching.  International tournaments to increase continental Frisbee growth in African schools

Zero costs. All the convenience.

Join over 2,000 of the world's top coaches to take part in the 11th annual UAP Coaching conference - for free!

See what we did last year! (2022)

Justin Peach: South Africa High-school Ultimate Development Representative

My interest mainly lies in the development of this sport and from my understanding, development starts at the high school level. I hope to lay out how that can be achieved in the South African context starting with short programs/courses and evolving those into full on coaching programs, leagues, and tournaments.

A South African Ultimate Frisbee athlete and coach passionate about the sports development. Successfully started two highschool Ultimate programs as well as hosted an inter-highschool tournament in 2021. I am also passionate about fried eggs on toast in the morning (the best breakfast and you can't change my mind).

Melissa is the founder of The Ultimate Athlete Project. Melissa's formal training was in the sciences. And she takes a scientific approach to helping ultimate athletes reach their full potential on the field. Now Melissa travels the world with the goal of playing or coaching ultimate in every WFDF member country.

Melissa Witmer: "What were you Thinking!?" How to Help your Players have Better Conversations About What's Happening on the Field

Players love to discuss and dissect each other's actions between points. But how often does it lead to meaningful improvements in their connection on the field. In this presentation we'll talk about what "flow" is made of an how to foster more of it between your players.

Valerio Iani: Game Intelligence: how and why I revolutionize my coaching

You'll be introduced to some tools like the ecological dynamics approach and motion offense/hex that could help your players to accelerate their learning and adaptability for a highly situational team sport like Ultimate.

I have spent the past 25 years mentoring, teaching, and coaching in the USA, Spain, and Italy and created projects with long-lasting legacies: I developed the accreditation of coaching education for the Italian federation; grew a strong youth scene in San Francisco working for Bay Area Disc Association; and founded both Guayota Tenerife and Oakland Ultimate. My coaching approach focuses on mental framework, social-emotional learning and game intelligence.

Tiina Booth: Intro to Game Management

Managing a game of ultimate is different than strategizing for a game of ultimate. From before a team arrives at the fields to after the last pull has gone up, managing a group of players takes foresight, patience and consistency. Tiina will share how she preps and guides a team in competition and how you can do so also, no matter what level of team.
